Our Approach

Methodology & Scholarly Framework

A question many students ask — and deserve a clear, honest answer.

Our teachers are graduates of Al-Azhar University — the world's oldest Islamic institution, representing mainstream Sunni scholarship. Teaching follows the scholarly tradition of classical Sunni Islam, drawing on the four established madhabs (schools of jurisprudence) with a focus on what is agreed upon, accessible, and applicable to Muslims living in the West.

🎓

Al-Azhar Certified Scholars

All teachers hold formal Islamic qualifications from recognised institutions — not self-taught or informal learners.

⚖️

Balanced, Non-Sectarian Teaching

We present mainstream scholarly positions respectfully, without imposing one madhhab. Students may follow their own school of thought.

🌍

Relevant for Muslims in the West

Topics are contextualised for modern life — finance, family, work, community — with real-world examples students can relate to.

💬

Questions Are Welcomed

No question is considered too basic or too controversial. Students are encouraged to ask, explore, and understand — not just memorise.

A note on sensitive matters: We respect that students come from different backgrounds and madhabs. Our goal is knowledge, not debate. If you have a specific question about our methodology before enrolling, please reach out — we're happy to discuss it directly.

Information for Parents

What Parents Need to Know

Everything about how we teach your child Islamic Studies — what they learn, how we keep it age-appropriate, and your role.

📚

What Children Learn

Age-appropriate Aqeedah, worship practice (Wudu, Salah), memorisation of short Surahs and daily duas, Prophet stories (Seerah for kids), and Islamic manners (adab). Content is graded by age — simpler for younger children, more detailed for older ones.

🛡️

How Lessons Stay Age-Appropriate

Teachers use stories, illustrations, and simple language — never complex theology or adult topics. Sessions are positive-only: no fear-based teaching, no comparison to other children. All lessons are recorded and parents can request access at any time.

👨‍👩‍👧

Parent Involvement

You're welcome to sit in on the first lessons. After every session the teacher sends you a brief WhatsApp update covering what was taught, what to practise at home, and how your child engaged. Homework is short (5–10 minutes) and parent-friendly — no Arabic required.

🕌

Adab & Practical Worship

We prioritise practical worship over theory. Children leave lessons knowing how to make Wudu correctly, how to pray step-by-step, what to say before eating or sleeping, and how to treat parents and others — habits that last a lifetime.

Common Questions

🤔 Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before enrolling

Is this suitable for complete beginners?

+
Absolutely. Our Foundations track is built specifically for people who are starting from zero — including those who grew up Muslim but never formally studied. We begin with the very basics and build from there at your own pace.

Is this suitable for new Muslims (reverts)?

+
Yes — and we welcome you warmly. New Muslims are some of our most dedicated students. The Foundations track is designed with you in mind: no assumed knowledge, no jargon, no judgment. We go at whatever pace is comfortable for you.

Can I choose only Seerah, or only Fiqh — without doing the whole programme?

+
Yes. The tracks are flexible — you are not required to follow all three levels or all topics. If you only want to study the life of the Prophet ﷺ, or only want a Fiqh refresher, we can build a customised plan around your specific interests and goals.

Are classes one-on-one or in a group?

+
All classes are fully private, one-on-one sessions between you and your teacher. This means the lesson is 100% about your questions, your pace, and your goals — with no other students to compete with for attention.

Are female teachers available?

+
Yes, always. We have qualified female scholars available for all women's sessions and all children's sessions. Simply request a female teacher when you book — no extra charge, no complicated process.

Do you teach children separately from adults?

+
Yes. Children have their own dedicated track with specialist teachers trained in child-appropriate Islamic education. The content, language, and pace are completely different from adult classes — simplified, visual, story-based, and positive.

Do I need prior knowledge to join?

+
No. The course is open to complete beginners and advanced learners alike. We assess your current level in the first session and customise the curriculum accordingly.

Will I receive a certificate?

+
Yes. You receive a certificate upon completing each level of the Islamic Studies programme, detailing the topics covered, your level, and the duration of study.
