Your Certificate —
What It Contains & Why It Matters

The Alphabet Arabic Academy Certificate of Completion is a formal academic document issued at the successful conclusion of each course level. It is not awarded for attendance or participation alone — it requires demonstrated competency assessed by your teacher and verified by our Academic Director.

"A certificate should mean something. Ours does. It tells an employer, an institution, or anyone else that this student can genuinely use the Arabic they studied."

The certificate is issued in English and includes your full name, the course and level completed, the date of completion, a unique certificate ID, and the signature of our Academic Director — an Al-Azhar-trained educator with over 20 years of academic experience.

Each certificate also includes a QR verification code that links to a secure confirmation page — so anyone receiving your certificate can verify its authenticity in seconds, without contacting us.

FAQs

Our Certificate of Completion is a private academic certificate issued by Alphabet Arabic Academy. It is not a government-accredited qualification or a university degree. However, it is a genuine, verifiable document that demonstrates your language level — and is accepted by many employers, mosques, Islamic schools, and organisations worldwide as evidence of Arabic or Quran study. If you need a government-accredited qualification, we are happy to advise you on the most appropriate pathway.
You are entitled to one free re-sit. If you don't pass the first assessment, your teacher will work with you for an additional period (typically 2–4 weeks) to address the gaps — then you take the assessment again at no extra cost. If you do not pass the re-sit, we will discuss with you whether additional tuition would be beneficial before trying again.
Certificates are issued digitally by default as a high-resolution PDF, which you can print yourself at home or at a professional print shop. We do not currently offer a postal delivery service for printed certificates, but the PDF is designed to print beautifully at A4 size and looks excellent when framed.
Duration depends on the course, the student's starting level, and how frequently they attend lessons. As a general guide: MSA levels typically take 8–26 weeks (one or two lessons per week), Quran Tajweed levels 6–16 weeks, and children's levels 10–18 weeks. Your teacher will give you a personalised estimate in your first lesson.
Yes. Children completing our Arabic for Children and Quran for Kids programmes receive an age-appropriate Certificate of Completion at each level. The children's certificate is designed to be colourful and celebratory — something to display proudly. It is issued in the child's name and includes the same unique ID and verification features as our adult certificates.
The pass mark is 70% for all levels and all courses. The assessment typically combines an oral component (60%) and a written component (40%) — though the exact format varies by course type. Quran and Tajweed assessments are primarily oral. Your teacher will prepare you fully before the assessment date.
